When I first laid hands on my first webOS device, I must say I was intrigued and excited. Despite the few flaws I came across, from a developers perspective the operating system was created with pure genius in mind. An additional bonus to that was that I work for the company.
Both the hardware and software were still in baby shoes when they came out, but we were heading in the right direction. I was curious to see what our webOS team would create the months to follow.
Unfortunately, after only a few months our former CEO killed off the entire product line and platform. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Touch Pad with webOS and continue to love it. However due webOS’s limitations I have finally decided to port Android 4.1.2 onto the device, now having both operating systems. I love it! The Cyanogenmod 10 is absolutely incredible and works flawlessly on the device (still testing).
If you own a Touchpad, I recommend this upgrade to Android – alongside the addition of the Google PLAY store and its endless apps.
Here is a great and simple list of instructions on what to do. If you still cant figure it out, drop me a line. Id be glad to help out!
