I partially grew up with Macaroni and Cheese, the delicious little blueish box that contained a macaroni and cheese mix, was simple to make and quick to prepare. It was a treat that we had on the dinner table every so often and its cheap (Funny how the simple things in life make you happy). Over the years Kraft has brought out a new noodle shape to entice its fans and kiddies around the world, and this year they brought out the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) shape, another one of my favorites.

So if this isn’t enough nostalgia for me to go grab a box of Mac N’ Cheese, than here comes the cherry on top. Kraft enlisted Vanilla Ice to perform “The Ninja Rap” which along with the 90’s rapper appeared in the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of Ooze. How awesome is this?

The ad shows Vanilla Ice stocking Mac N’ Cheese in a grocery store while singing, “go ninja, go ninja, go,” when a mother and her son arrive. She recognizes the rapper and dances along with a box in hand before her son takes it, puts it in the cart and storms off.

Cool huh?

By the way, dig a little deeper and you’ll find the “Behind the Scenes – making of” on the commercial where Vanilla talks about his love for TMNT. Who would have ever thought Vanilla would make a come-back, or is it?
