If you have ever been on the site before, you’ll be quite surprised to see what you are seeing. I know. I am too. At least to a certain degree. Let me try to explain.
A few weeks ago I relaunched my personal blog with a new design and some fresh content, keeping all my old posts dating several years back, but moving them to the archives. Now what I never expected to happen, happened. In simple laymen terms, there was a security flaw I oversaw. Let’s keep it at that.
With that being said, I had to make a drastic call in terms of ensuring that everything is kept safe so I made the call to start fresh on just about everything. Securing the data we all vow as precious and cleaning up house. Hence, the result is the opportunity to, again, rebuild from the ground up and deliver to what I am committing myself to do. Blog regularly. Start fresh. Start clean. Focus on what I want to focus.
Don’t consider this yet another redesign, because it isn’t. To me it’s the beginning of new age. As aforementioned, a new opportunity. I didn’t throw on a new look, rather used what was given to me to take this where I want to go. Now I need to make it happen. It was frustrating making the call, but it needed to be done. A blank slate. Back to square one on everything.
With that forgive me for where the site stands today. Just dispensing some thoughts now as I plan to move forward on hermannk.com/. So for those of you new here, welcome. For those of you returning, I hope you enjoy what you see. Let’s rock this thing.
